WFC Volleyball League

A non-competitive, recreational volleyball league designed for skill development and fun.

Registration: March 16th – May 10th 

Divisions:

  • 8/9-year-old Co-Ed
  • 10/12-year-old Co-Ed

League Schedule:

  • Assessments: Tuesday, May 12th & Wednesday, May 13th: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Coaches Meeting & Draft: Thursday, May 14th: 5:30 pm 
  • Practices: Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays (if needed), June 2nd – June 25th: Division 1, (5:30 pm – 6:30 pm), Division 2, (7:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
  • Games: Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays (if needed), June 30th – August 6th: Division 1, (5:30 pm – 6:30 pm), Division 2, (7:00 pm – 8:00 pm)

Cost

  • $100: Woodway Residents
  • $120:  Non-Woodway Residents

Explore Pickleball

An opportunity for boys and girls to learn the fundamentals of pickleball in a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment.

Registration: March 1st – April 5th

Divisions:

  • Division 1: 6-8-year-olds
  • Division 2: 9-12-year-olds

Explore Pickleball Schedule:

  • Division 1: Monday, April 6th, Monday, April 13th, Monday, April 20th: 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm.  Saturday, April 18th: 9:00 am – 10:00 am.
  • Division 2: Monday, April 6th, Monday, April 13th, Monday, April 20th: 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  Saturday, April 18th: 10:00 am – 11:00 am.

Cost

  • $ 50: Woodway Residents
  • $ 70: Non- Woodway Residents

  • Practices: Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays (if needed), March 23rd – April 9th: T-Ball, (5:30 pm – 6:30 pm), Coach Pitch, (7:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
  • Games: Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays (if needed), April 14th – June 13th: T-Ball, (5:30 pm – 6:30 pm), Coach Pitch, (7:00 pm – 8:00 pm)

Explore STEM

A STEM clinic designed to build new skills using Scratch programming and hands-on robotics.

Divisions:

  • Division 1: 5-8-year-olds
  • Division 2: 9-12-year-olds

Explore STEM Schedule:

  • Division 1 & 2: Monday, March 2nd, Monday, March 16th, Monday, March 23rd, and Monday,March 30th: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Monday, March 9th, will be skipped for Spring Break.

Family Open Gym

Ages: All Ages – 17-year-old and under must be accompanied by an Adult

Dates:

  • March 2nd – March 13th: Mondays and Fridays: 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
  • March 3rd & March 5th: Tuesday and Thursday: 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
  • March 10th & March 12th: Tuesday and Thursday: 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
  • Saturday, March 14th: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
  • March 16th – March 31st: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
  • Friday, March 27th:  3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
  • Saturday, March 28th: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

What:

• Family Hour Open Gym will be divided by age groups to ensure the safety and pleasure of all participants. Open Gym Hours are subject to change.

The Woodway Family Center (WFC) has been a memorable part of the Woodway community for the past thirty years providing youth sports and recreational activities! The WFC strives to promote a family atmosphere while providing a place for children to learn the basics of competition and fundamentals in various sports, with an emphasis on fun and sportsmanship. Over 1,000 families bring their children to WFC each year from the Woodway/Waco/Hewitt area. On April 1, 2024, the WFC opened its new facility. Alongside our youth sports and recreational programming, we will be offering S.T.E.A.M. programming.

The Woodway Family Center is now accepting private party, gym, and field rentals. The gym will be available for Open Gym at select times throughout the year. Please see the Youth Calendar for availability!
