Ages: 7 – 12-year-old

When: Registration – September 23rd – November 1st

Clinic Dates:

  • Session 1 (7-12 year old) 5:30-6:30, Monday – November 4th, Tuesday – November 12th, Monday – November 18th, and Monday – November 25th.

What:

• Campers learn to create games and advanced applications using the Scratch programming language. They’ll integrate functions, custom code blocks, and physical components into their projects while also gaining other important skills like flowcharting, and principles of electrical engineering. Campers will learn to develop games similar to Flappy Birds, Pac-Man, and other platformer games.

Registration fee is $80 for Woodway Residents/ $100 for Non-Residents

EXPLORE VOLLEYBALL

Ages: 8 – 12-year-old

When: Registration – October 7th – November 3rd

Clinic Dates:

  • Division 1 (8-10 year old) 5:30-6:30, Monday – November 4th, Tuesday – November 12th, Monday – November 18th, and Monday – November 25th.
  • Division 2 (11-12 year old) 7:00-8:00, Monday – November 4th, Tuesday – November 12th, Monday – November 18th, and Monday – November 25th.

What:

• Explore Volleyball is an innovative educational program that focuses on introducing participants of all abilities to the sport of volleyball.

Registration fee is $50 for Woodway Residents/ $70 for Non-Residents

WINTER BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Divisions:

  • 5-6 year old Co-Ed
  • Girls 7-8 year old, 9-10 year old, and 11-12 year old.
  • Boys 7-8 year old, 9-10 year old, 11-12 year old.

When: Registration – October 1st – November 17th

League Dates:

  • Practices will run from December 2nd – January 11th
  • Games will run from January 13th – March 8th.

What: • The Winter Basketball League is an innovative educational program focused on building skills in a non-competitive team environment.

Registration fee is $100 for Woodway Residents/ $120 for Non-Residents

The Woodway Family Center (WFC) has been a memorable part of the Woodway community for the past thirty years providing youth sports and recreational activities! The WFC strives to promote a family atmosphere while providing a place for children to learn the basics of competition and fundamentals in various sports, with an emphasis on fun and sportsmanship. Over 1,000 families bring their children to WFC each year from the Woodway/Waco/Hewitt area. On April 1, 2024, the WFC opened its new facility. Alongside our youth sports and recreational programming, we will be offering S.T.E.A.M. programming.

The Woodway Family Center is now accepting private party, gym, and field rentals. The gym is not available for open gym at this time.
