Learn the art of pressing and drying flowers, then use your beautifully preserved blooms to create a frameable collage to take home. This hands-on workshop is perfect for anyone who loves nature, art, or trying something new—no experience required!

Get ready for a bug-tastic adventure! Join The Bug Lady, Alaina Michaels, for a hands-on Kids Beetle Workshop at the Carleen Bright Arboretum where young nature lovers will step into the world of entomology. Guided by Alaina, a real-life bug expert, kids will learn how to carefully pin and preserve their very own beetle specimen while discovering fun facts about insects, habitats, and biodiversity. This interactive workshop is perfect for curious minds who love science and nature.

Kids, parents and grandparents can enjoy two hours of family fun with Outpost Pottery at the Carleen Bright Arboretum. We have space for 10 families or small groups to come and create personalized cups, bowls, plates, coasters and Christmas ornaments using a variety of pottery techniques. Plus each family will get to try out the potter's wheel! Don't miss this amazing family bonding experience at the Carleen Bright Arboretum. Registration is $150 per family or group of 5. If your family/group is larger than 5 people, additional seats at your table can be purchased for $15 each (up to 8 people at a table). Included in your registration is one of your clay creations fired and finished with a white glaze for each person in your family/group. Additional pieces can be fired and specialty glazes are available for an additional charge.
